The ICM Controls 3VMS-60-480 combines the functionality of the ICM450A PLUS+ programmable 3-phase line voltage monitor and the ICM531 Type 1/Type 2 three-phase surge protective device into a single, easy-to-install solution for 480VAC three-phase HVAC/R equipment. Designed for residential and commercial applications, it helps protect motors, circuit boards, and other electrical components from damaging power conditions including overvoltage, undervoltage, phase loss, phase reversal, phase imbalance, and power surges.
During operation, the 3VMS-60-480 continuously monitors incoming line voltage while providing ongoing surge protection. When voltage conditions remain within programmed limits, the onboard 60A contactor energizes the connected equipment. If a fault is detected, the contactor opens to disconnect the load and automatically restores power once conditions return to an acceptable range. User-adjustable monitoring parameters allow application-specific customization, while the integrated ICM531 surge protection module suppresses surge events and features a diagnostic LED that indicates when surge protection is active and functioning properly.
