Installing the Filter Alert

1. Install with a clean new filter. Mount the Filter Alert vertically.
2. Insert the negative pressure probe of the Filter Alert between the filter and the blower.
3. Insert the positive pressure probe of the Filter Alert in the return air duct before the filter.
4. Remove the cover to wire 24VAC to their respective terminals on the Filter Alert.
5. Set the HVAC unit to its maximum cooling setting.
6. Turn the Filter Alert adjustment knob all the way to the right (maximum pressure setting).
7. Slowly turn the knob to the left (towards minimum pressure setting) until the Filter Alert starts beeping and blinking red.
8. Turn the knob to the right to increase setpoint by 0.1 inch of water column and until it stops beeping.
